Collette, Georgia and Juliet deserve a medal for the effort and contribution they give to our club each week, training nights also to run our successful kitchen. Behind the scenes Collette and Marcus will weekly shop to make sure that the kitchen is amply supplied with all the food, drinks and confectionary that we all take for granted.
We are very reasonably priced and they produce a heart-warming brew and also a tasty “bacon or sausage barm”. The café is open to all the public and we regularly get people just coming for a “brew and bacon barm”.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Moss Bank JFC are already seeing the massive improvement from our goalkeepers and these sessions are absolutely FREE for all Moss Bank JFC goalkeepers again putting our children’s development FIRST.

Any goalkeeper who joins our club will get the options to attend the sessions of no extra charge. Our Goalkeeping training is currently held 6:00-7:00pm every Tuesday at Ladybridge High School’s 4G AstroTurf.

Ben Herrimen Moss Bank’s goalkeeping coach caters for all ages from U6s right through to open age football. This is also an opportunity for all goalkeepers at the club to learn off each other and for our older goalkeepers to encourage our younger goalkeepers to enjoy and learn.

During the spring and summer months the Goalkeeping Coaching will resume on The Pavilion every Tuesday 6.00-7.00pm. We have some fantastic goalkeepers the club and want to further develop them alongside any aspiring goalkeepers. You don’t even have to be the team goalkeeper to join in.

If your child wants to sample the goalkeeping coaching please feel free to come along. Its open to ALL MOSS BANK JFC CLUB MEMBERS – GOALKEEPERS or NOT GOALKEEPERS.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/3″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”636″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Armed with club volunteers Marcus Howarth, John Gaffney, Andrew Kearney, Gary Russell, Mike Wilcox and Mike McGuiness the work began. The first job was to level the “hump” that had built up over the years in the 11 v 11 pitch on the Pavilion. Over 25 tons of soil and sand mixed was removed to Rotavator then level and redress with soil and sand sports mix then seeded. This was then watered and watered regularly throughout the dry spell. We then proceeded to Rotavator and top up area of the 10 acre site that needed filling up with sports soil and reseeding.
The project took 3 days in total, over 60 hours of volunteer work and 20 ton of sports soil and sand mix was used along with 2 100kg bag of sports seed. We are now seeing the results of the project and the pitch maintenance plan goes on with a new investment of a tractor, gang-mower accessories, verti-draining accessories and slitter accessories. The plan in the future is that our drainage becomes better and thus the grass is allowed to grow and no waterlogged pitches. Further planning is for a 4G AstroTurf in the Heaton Cricket Club corner with floodlights and to maintain inside of Moss Bank Park to develop more pitch space and other sports space. As well as football we maintain and have other sports attached to the site with over 6 rounder’s teams playing on The Pavilion along with 3 cricket teams throughout the summer.
This is an integral part of the vision for the Moss Bank Community Sports Club which will incorporate the full use of the land with other sports. Major plans include our Moss Bank Summer Sports Camp run throughout the summer 6 weeks holiday. As well as the pitch maintenance we are seeing further developments in the clubhouse area with a new kitchen, new ceiling area and tiled toilet area. These are still in their early phases and there will be more refurbishment throughout the clubhouse with up to date changing room facilities and youth club. Again without volunteers this work would not be done so thanks to those who have helped over the summer months.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_style” images=”507,508,511,510,513,512,514″ onclick=”link_image” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
